The Sultan Abu Bakar Museum is located on the main street of Sultan Ahmad in a royal town in Pekan,Pahang. The all-white complex of colonial architecture houses a variety of interesting history to the state of Pahang, as it was once to be the state capital of Pahang.

We welcome and value all visitors to the museum. We prefer those under the age of 11 to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Sultan Abu Bakar Museum

The museum complex consists of several exhibition galleries. Each exhibition has a different theme and concept. Visiting to this complex may take around an average of 1-2 hours.

Sultan Abdullah Museum Mosque

After finished the tour at the Sultan Abu Bakar Mosque, you can exit and continue to Sultan Abdullah Museum Mosque. Along the way you will see KTM Train, an old transportation system in Tanah Melayu long time ago. This beautiful white old mosque demonstrated the history of the Islamic world in various fields including innovation, art, architecture and history of Islam in the state. Visit here may take around 15-30 minutes depending on visitor's interest.

Balai Permaisuri & Rumah Tun Razak, Pulau Keladi Cultural Village Complex

Located almost 2km from the Museum, there is a cultural village that houses the birth of Malaysia's second prime minister Tun Abdul Razak. Here is also a traditional house that features Pahang features, or better known as the Pahang foyer. The complex is also known as the royal weaving center operated by KDYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah

By Public Transport / Bus

From Hentian Bandar - You can reach Muzium Pahang by taking a public bus route 400 at Kuantan ( Hentian Bandar). It will takes you approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive here. Stop at Pekan Lama bus stop at Jalan Sultan Abu Bakar and continue walking to end of Jalan Masjid Abdullah, you will see a white mosque.
